THE PATRIOT GAP – A CATASTROPHE IN NUMBERS

The U.S. Army is experiencing a “beyond critical” shortage of advanced missile interceptors in Europe – and the primary reason is President Donald Trump’s war against Iran. A U.S. defense official in Europe and a NATO representative confirmed to the Associated Press that Patriot air defense systems in Europe are more depleted than ever.

The numbers are devastating:

· 65 percent of U.S. Patriot interceptors have been expended in the Iran war
· Of 2,330 available Patriot missiles, only 760 to 830 remain
· THAAD systems have also been depleted: from 452 to 234 to 278 interceptors

HOW IT HAPPENED – TRUMP’S WAR IS CONSUMING EUROPE’S DEFENSE

The Iran war, now in its sixth month, has devoured U.S. missile stockpiles in Europe. The U.S. has redeployed its European stocks to the Middle East, where U.S. and Gulf allies have fired a significant number of interceptors – including Patriot missiles – to defend against Iranian drone and missile attacks.

The consequences for Europe are dramatic:

· NATO countries are more vulnerable than ever to a potential Russian attack
· New U.S. deliveries are not expected for several years – no earlier than 2030
· U.S. industry cannot quickly meet the demand

The simultaneity of these two reports is no coincidence. It reflects a deeply contradictory U.S. policy:

1. Europe is being stripped bare because the U.S. has withdrawn its Patriot stocks for the Iran war.
2. Russia sees the weakness – and is simultaneously being appeased by Trump.
3. The CIA travels to Moscow to deliver a warning – yet Trump dismisses it as “standard.”
4. Europe has no answer – the Patriot gap will not be closed until 2030.

The United States has sacrificed Europe for its war against Iran. Patriot stocks are depleted. NATO is vulnerable. And while Russia recognizes the weakness, Trump assures that Putin will not attack – a claim based on “good talks,” not military deterrence.

DIE LOGIK DES WAHNSINNS

Die Gleichzeitigkeit dieser beiden Meldungen ist kein Zufall. Sie ist ein Spiegelbild einer zutiefst widersprüchlichen US-Politik:

1. Europa wird entblößt, weil die USA ihre Patriot-Bestände für den Iran-Krieg abgezogen haben.
2. Russland sieht die Schwachstelle – und wird von Trump gleichzeitig beschwichtigt.
3. Die CIA reist nach Moskau, um eine Warnung zu überbringen – doch Trump tut das als “Standard” ab.
4. Europa hat keine Antwort – die Patriot-Lücke wird erst 2030 geschlossen sein.

💡 DAS FAZIT

Die USA haben Europa für den Krieg gegen den Iran geopfert. Die Patriot-Bestände sind aufgebraucht. Die NATO ist verwundbar. Und während Russland die Schwachstelle erkennt, versichert Trump, dass Putin nicht angreifen werde – eine Behauptung, die auf “guten Gesprächen” beruht, nicht auf militärischer Abschreckung.

Die historische Ironie ist bitter: Ausgerechnet die Patriot-Systeme, die Europa vor Russland schützen sollen, wurden im Kampf gegen den Iran verfeuert. Und die Lücke wird erst 2030 geschlossen sein – wenn Russland laut NATO selbst angriffsbereit sein könnte.
