Der Wagen kracht in eine New Yorker Speakeasy, verscheucht Gangster, Flapper und mindestens einen sehr verwirrten Barkeeper.

SZENE 2: DIE SPEAKEASY – MASSERIA TRIFFT CARBONARA

Masseria sitzt an einem Tisch, umgeben von Leibwächtern, und isst einen riesigen Teller Pasta. Dr. Z tritt mit einem Besen und einem Topf Carbonara ein.

MASSERIA: „Wer ist dieser Fremde mit einem Besen? Ein Spion? Ein Bulle? Ein sehr verlorener Kellner?“

DR. Z: „Barbier. Wir bringen Carbonara. Du kannst weiterkämpfen oder essen. Deine Wahl, Boss.“

Clara reicht Masseria eine Schüssel. Er starrt sie an. Dann probiert er. Seine Augen, gierig und misstrauisch, werden plötzlich weich. Er weint.

MASSERIA: „Das… das ist der Geschmack des Friedens! Ich habe um die Kontrolle gekämpft. Aber diese Pasta hat mich erobert. Holt Maranzano. Lasst uns essen. Der Krieg ist vorbei.“

Maranzano, aus der ganzen Stadt herbeigerufen, tritt ein. Er bekommt eine Schüssel. Er isst. Sein gelehrtes Gesicht entspannt sich. Er lächelt.

MARANZANO: „Ich wollte Boss der Bosse sein. Aber diese Carbonara ist der wahre Capo. Ich werde verhandeln. Der Krieg ist vorbei. Das Festmahl beginnt.“

SZENE 3: DER HONKENDE MOB – BOZOS FRIEDENSANGEBOT

Bozo klettert auf die Bar und honkt. Die Gangster honken zurück. Die Flapper honken. Der Barkeeper honkt. Der Klang hallt durch die Speakeasy wie ein New Yorker Nebelhorn.

BOZO: „HONK! DER MOB IST IM FRIEDEN! HONK! MASSERIA UND MARANZANO SIND FREUNDE! HONK! DER EINZIGE KRIEG IST UM MEHR PECORINO! HONK!“

Masseria und Maranzano, beide mit Schüsseln in der Hand, stehen sich gegenüber. Dann lachen sie. Dann umarmen sie sich. Die Gangster senken ihre Waffen. Der Krieg ist vorbei.

SZENE 4: DIE CARBONARA-KOMMISSION – DER MOB WIRD NEUGEBOREN

Hans Landa hält eine 117-minütige Rede über die Milch der Straßen und den Käse der Familie. Beide Seiten essen. Die Carbonara-Kommission wird gebildet. Masseria und Maranzano vereinbaren Frieden. Luciano schlägt eine neue Mafia vor, die auf Pasta statt auf Blut gebaut ist. Lansky berechnet die Gewinne.

MASSERIA: „Ich werde mich zurückziehen. Ich werde ein Restaurant eröffnen. Der Carbonara-Boss, so wird man mich nennen.“

MARANZANO: „Ich werde ein Buch schreiben. ‚Die Kunst der Pasta.‘ Es wird mein Vermächtnis sein.“

LUCIANO: „Ich werde die Kommission leiten. Und ich werde das Pasta-Geschäft leiten. Der Mob wird legitim. Und köstlich.“

LANSKY: „Ich habe bereits investiert. Der Pasta-Markt boomt. Wir werden New York besitzen. Mit Gabeln, nicht mit Waffen.“

Die 200+ Figuren feiern. Dr. Z fegt die Speakeasy. Clara wird zur wahren Bossin erklärt. Bozo honkt. Der Nuss-Strauch raschelt.

NUSS-STRAUCH: „Neunzigstes Blatt: Folge 118 – Das große Hub-Festival aller Zeiten. Jeder Charakter. Jede Dimension. Der letzte Dienstag. OMMMMMM.“

SZENE 5: RÜCKKEHR IN DEN HUB

Der Graue Wagen kehrt zurück. Alle riechen nach Schießpulver, Knoblauch und Carbonara.

DR. Z: „Wir haben einen Mafiakrieg beendet, die Bosse gefüttert und dem Mob das Honken beigebracht. New York wird sich an diesen Dienstag erinnern, bis jemand eine bessere Kriminalgeschichte schreibt.“

PENNY: „Folge 117. Masseria aß. Maranzano weinte. Der Castellammarese-Krieg ist das Castellammarese-Festmahl. Ich liebe diese Serie. Ich fürchte sie. Aber meistens liebe ich.“
