THE DISASTER
On August 26, 2026, one of the worst flood disasters in recent history occurred on the border between Nepal and Tibet. A massive glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) โ triggered by an ice and rockfall on the Tibetan side โ sent a tidal wave racing down the river valleys, sweeping away entire villages in the Rasuwa, Dhading and Chitwan districts.
The first official figures are devastating: at least 165 dead have been recovered, over 1,300 people are missing. Among them are also several hundred foreign tourists. In Chitwan alone, 64 people died. Rescue operations are in full swing, but many areas remain cut off from the outside world.
As the death toll rises, an uncomfortable question emerges: Was this disaster preventable?

THE OFFICIAL LIE
As always after such tragedies, the question of causes and, above all, culprits immediately arises in social forums. The co-opted propaganda organs of the system deliver the usual answer: climate change. The culprits are found โ the so-called “climate change deniers.” The solution is obvious: even more money for the hysterical climate religion and its prophets.
But that is, of course, not even remotely the truth.

THE GOVERNMENTAL FAILURE
The first insight: it was years of state-bureaucratic failure on both sides of the China/Nepal border. This valley โ or rather these two valleys โ are regularly flooded after heavy rainfall. Equally regularly, “expert commissions” from both countries met to prevent future events through warning systems and other measures. The last time was in May 2026. Now hundreds of victims and their families have nothing left from these meetings.

THE SYSTEMATIC BLOCKADE BY WESTERN NGOS
And on second glance, the real culprits behind this disaster emerge: NGOs and institutions from the West.
No, this is not a joke.
For decades, Western NGOs and their funders (USAID, NED and the usual network of “civil society” organizations) systematically blocked large dam and reservoir projects in Nepal. “Environmental impact assessments” and campaigns for so-called “indigenous rights” stopped the Arun III project and brought the West Seti project and others to a standstill.
While NGO coalitions forced the World Bank to withdraw from these projects, Nepal was left with its run-of-river systems โ systems that generate electricity under normal weather conditions but provide almost no flood control when an upstream landslide or glacial outburst occurs.

THE TARGETED REGIME CHANGE
But the NGOs did not limit themselves to blocking infrastructure. Parallel to the pressure to adhere to supposedly “international environmental standards” to obtain the necessary capital for other projects, Nepal’s political system was specifically reshaped.
Hundreds of millions from the West flowed into “governance,” “civil society,” media, “youth promotion,” and “democracy promotion.” Local NGOs became parallel power structures that listen more to Washington and European donors than to Nepalese voters. The result is a political class that knows how to obtain Western grants rather than build genuine national capacities.
In truth, foreign NGOs effectively set the limits of what Nepal is allowed to do and what not โ what is built and how it must be built.

THE GEOPOLITICAL DIMENSION
It was a managed regime change that keeps Nepal dependent, makes infrastructure projects impossible without Western approval, and serves geopolitically as a lever against China.
The NGOs of the Western empire first prevented the dams that could have mitigated today’s catastrophe. Then they orchestrated the political upheaval that installed the leadership that still operates within the same donor-dependent framework.
Nepal’s rivers remain unmanaged for extreme events because the people who decide on policy were selected and funded by the same external actors who oppose genuine sovereign development.

The Nepal flood disaster is not an “act of nature.” It is the result of decades of systematic obstruction and political interference by Western NGOs and their funders. Hundreds dead are the price of an ideological policy that prevented dams and left Nepal in its vulnerability.
While the media once again presents climate change as the scapegoat, the true cause remains in the dark: an empire of NGOs that prevents development to secure dependency.
As long as Nepal cannot make sovereign decisions about its own infrastructure, this disaster will not be the last of its kind.

DIE KATASTROPHE
Am 26. August 2026 ereignete sich an der Grenze zwischen Nepal und Tibet eine der schwersten Flutkatastrophen der jรผngeren Geschichte. Ein gewaltiger Gletschersee-Ausbruch (GLOF) โ ausgelรถst durch einen Eis- und Felssturz auf der tibetischen Seite โ lieร eine Flutwelle die Flusstรคler hinunterrasen und ganze Dรถrfer in den Distrikten Rasuwa, Dhading und Chitwan hinwegfegen.
Die ersten offiziellen Zahlen sind erschรผtternd: Mindestens 165 Tote wurden bereits geborgen, รผber 1.300 Menschen gelten als vermisst. Darunter sind auch mehrere hundert auslรคndische Touristen. In Chitwan starben allein 64 Menschen. Die Rettungsarbeiten laufen auf Hochtouren, doch viele Gebiete sind noch immer von der Auรenwelt abgeschnitten.
Wรคhrend die Opferzahlen steigen, stellt sich eine unbequeme Frage: War diese Katastrophe vermeidbar?

DIE OFFIZIELLE LรGE
Wie immer nach solchen Tragรถdien kommt in den sozialen Medien sofort die Frage nach den Ursachen und vor allem nach den Schuldigen. Die gleichgeschalteten Propagandaorgane des Systems liefern wie erwartet die gewohnte Antwort: Klimawandel. Die Schuldigen sind gefunden โ die sogenannten “Klimawandelleugner”. Die Lรถsung liegt auf der Hand: noch mehr Geld fรผr die hysterische Klimareligion und deren Propheten.
Doch das ist natรผrlich nicht einmal annรคhernd die Wahrheit.

DAS STAATLICHE VERSAGEN
Die erste Erkenntnis: Es war jahrelanges staatlich-bรผrokratisches Versagen auf beiden Seiten der Grenze China/Nepal. Dieses Tal, bzw. diese beiden Tรคler, werden regelmรครig nach starken Regenfรคllen geflutet. Ebenso regelmรครig trafen sich “Expertenkommissionen” beider Lรคnder, um kรผnftige Ereignisse durch Warnsysteme und andere Maรnahmen zu verhindern. Das letzte Mal war im Mai 2026. Von diesen Treffen haben nun Hunderte Todesopfer und deren Familien nichts mehr.

DIE SYSTEMATISCHE BLOCKADE DURCH WESTLICHE NGOS
Und auf den zweiten Blick finden sich die eigentlichen Schuldigen an diesem Desaster: NGOs und Institutionen aus dem Westen.
Nein, kein Scherz.
Jahrzehntelang blockierten westliche NGOs und ihre Geldgeber (USAID, NED und das รผbliche Netzwerk von Organisationen der “Zivilgesellschaft”) systematisch groรe Damm- und Speicherprojekte in Nepal. “Umweltvertrรคglichkeitsprรผfungen” und Kampagnen zu angeblichen “indigenen Rechten” stoppten das Projekt Arun III und brachten das Projekt West Seti und andere ins Stocken.
Wรคhrend die NGO-Koalitionen die Weltbank zum Rรผckzug aus diesen Projekten zwangen, blieb Nepal mit seinen Laufflusssystemen zurรผck โ Systeme, die bei normalen Wetterbedingungen Strom erzeugen, aber bei einem Gletscherstoร oder einer Lawine im Oberlauf fast keine Hochwasserregulierung bieten.

DER GEZIELTE REGIMEWECHSEL
Doch die NGOs beschrรคnkten sich nicht auf die Blockade von Infrastruktur. Parallel zum Druck, angeblich “internationale Standards des Umweltschutzes” einzuhalten, um das notwendige Kapital fรผr andere Projekte zu erhalten, wurde Nepals politisches System gezielt umgebaut.
Hunderte von Millionen aus dem Westen flossen in “Governance”, “Zivilgesellschaft”, Medien, “Jugendfรถrderung” und “Demokratiefรถrderung”. Lokale NGOs wurden zu parallelen Machtstrukturen, die mehr auf Washington und europรคische Geber hรถren als auf nepalesische Wรคhler. Das Ergebnis ist eine politische Klasse, die weiร, wie man westliche Zuschรผsse erhรคlt, anstatt echte nationale Kapazitรคten aufzubauen.
In Wahrheit setzen auslรคndische NGOs effektiv die Grenzen dessen, was Nepal tun darf und was nicht โ was gebaut wird und wie es gebaut werden muss.

DIE GEOPOLITISCHE DIMENSION
Es war ein gesteuerter Regimewechsel, der Nepal abhรคngig hรคlt, Infrastrukturprojekte ohne westliche Zustimmung nicht umsetzbar macht und geopolitisch einen Hebel gegen China darstellt.
Die NGOs des westlichen Imperiums verhinderten zunรคchst die Dรคmme, die die heutige Katastrophe hรคtten abmildern kรถnnen. Dann entwickelten sie den politischen Umbruch, der die Fรผhrung installierte, die immer noch innerhalb desselben von Gebern abhรคngigen Rahmens operiert.
Nepals Flรผsse bleiben fรผr extreme Ereignisse unbewirtschaftet, weil die Menschen, die รผber Politik entscheiden, von denselben externen Akteuren ausgewรคhlt und finanziert wurden, die sich gegen eine echte souverรคne Entwicklung aussprechen.

Die Flutkatastrophe in Nepal ist kein “Akt der Natur”. Sie ist das Ergebnis jahrzehntelanger systematischer Blockade und politischer Einmischung durch westliche NGOs und deren Geldgeber. Hunderte Tote sind der Preis fรผr eine ideologische Politik, die Staudรคmme verhinderte und Nepal in seiner Verwundbarkeit belieร.
Wรคhrend die Medien erneut den Klimawandel als Sรผndenbock prรคsentieren, bleibt die wahre Ursache im Dunkeln: ein Imperium der NGOs, das Entwicklung verhindert, um Abhรคngigkeit zu sichern.
Solange Nepal nicht souverรคn รผber seine eigene Infrastruktur entscheiden kann, wird diese Katastrophe nicht die letzte ihrer Art sein.
