DR. Z: “What is this?” ๐ง ๐คจ
JANELLE: (Scanning it) “It’s not in any database. It’sโฆ pure desire. Concentrated.” ๐ป๐ณ
SALOME: “I’ve seen patterns like this. It’s not an artifact. It’s a calling card.” ๐๐ฎ
The marble pulses. A voice, breathy and drenched in 1950s Hollywood glamour, fills the Hub:
VOICE: “Oh, my. What a delicious little universe you’ve built. And so manyโฆ interesting people.”
A portal opens โ not green, not pink, but bubblegum pink with sparkles. Out steps JAYNE MANSFIELD (Margot Robbie in a platinum wig and a tight, lowโcut pink dress). She holds a martini glass and a leopardโprint clutch.
JAYNE: “Hello, darlings. I was in the afterlife, but it was so boring. No men. No martinis. No marble. So I stole one and came here.” ๐๐
DR. Z: “You stole a marble from the afterlife?” ๐ง ๐ต
JAYNE: “I stole the marble. It’s called the Pink Marble of Perpetual Hunger. It makes everyone want you. And I mean everyone.” ๐
She tosses the marble in the air. It floats. Everyone in the Hub suddenly leans toward her.
SCENE 2: THE HUNGER SPREADS ๐ฅ๐๐
The marble’s effect is immediate and chaotic. King Zog melts faster. Bozo’s honks become loveโsick sighs. Indiana Jones forgets his whip and starts reciting bad poetry. The twins stop arguing and stare at Jayne with identical longing.
SYLVIA: “Iโฆ I want to share her.” ๐
SUSAN: “But we already share Indiana.” ๐
SYLVIA: “Indiana who?” ๐
INDIANA JONES: (Heartbroken) “Ouch.” ๐งญ๐

JAYNE: (Watching) “Oh, I like the silent one. Can I borrow him?” ๐๐

SCENE 5: THE GRAY MERCEDES’S HUNGER AUDIT ๐๐๐

Jayne sits alone with Dr. Z (who is also affected, but trying to hide it). She stops tossing the marble.
JAYNE: “You want to know why I stole it? I was lonely. In the afterlife, everyone remembers me as a joke. A blonde with bigโฆ talents. But no one remembers that I could act. That I had a brain. That I wanted to be taken seriously.” ๐๐
DR. Z: (Fighting the marble’s pull) “So you used the marble to make people want you.” ๐ง
JAYNE: “Better to be wanted for the wrong reasons than not wanted at all.” ๐
DR. Z: “That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever heard. And I’ve heard a lot.” ๐ง ๐
He reaches out and takes the marble from her hand. The pink glow fades. The hunger stops.
SCENE 7: THE MARBLE IS COMPOSTED ๐ซ๐ฑ๐
Dr. Z drops the marble into his olive oil compost bin. It dissolves into golden light.
DR. Z: “You don’t need a marble, Jayne. You need a community.” ๐ง ๐ฑ
