On the morning of August 19, Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) launched a special operation codenamed “Forrest Gump” targeting a suspected criminal organization that included current and former members of parliament and senior officials from President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among those detained: Iryna Mudra \u2013 the deputy head of the Presidential Office responsible for the judiciary and judicial reform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within hours of the searches, Zelensky signed Decree No. 734\/2026, firing Mudra from her position. She was taken to a temporary detention facility and remains under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE CONTRADICTION<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or was she?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mudra’s lawyer, Artem Krykun-Trush, immediately pushed back, insisting his client had not been arrested \u2013 only served with a notice of suspicion. Ukrainian media reported conflicting accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But according to MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, who cited law enforcement sources, Mudra was indeed detained and spent the night in custody. The Kyiv Post confirmed she was “undergoing investigative actions at NABU”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whatever the semantic debate, the reality is clear: Mudra is in the crosshairs of Ukraine’s anti-corruption machinery \u2013 and she is not alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE RECORDINGS: MUDRA’S OWN WORDS<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NABU has released audio tapes allegedly featuring Mudra discussing her efforts to influence anti-corruption institutions from within.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On one recording, she allegedly stated that Oleksandr Klymenko \u2013 the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) \u2013 should be replaced with someone loyal to the Presidential Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“If he were reconfirmed for a second term, for another seven years, we would all be screwed,”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mudra allegedly said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was also caught expressing frustration that the Americans were “building a personnel reserve” in Ukraine by placing their own people in key positions at NABU and SAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These recordings are devastating \u2013 not only for Mudra, but for Zelensky himself. They suggest his inner circle was actively working to subvert Ukraine’s anti-corruption agencies \u2013 the very institutions the West has funded and insisted upon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE LUXURY: CARTER, BULGARI, AUDEMARS PIGUET \u2013 $122K<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Ukrainian soldiers die in the trenches and civilians freeze without power, Mudra was living a lifestyle that would embarrass a Gulf monarch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators uncovered a collection of luxury watches and jewelry from brands including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE $1 BILLION QUESTION<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mudra’s personal wealth may be staggering, but it is only one piece of a much larger puzzle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to multiple sources, the total amount stolen through this network exceeds $1 BILLION. The funds are tied to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Operation Midas \u2013 the previous mega-corruption scandal involving former energy minister Herman Haluschenko and a $100 million kickback scheme<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Sense Bank \u2013 which allegedly served as “a channel for transferring funds” to pay bail for corruption suspects<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Energoatom \u2013 Ukraine’s state nuclear energy company, at the center of the Midas case<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The “Forrest Gump” investigation is directly connected to Midas. It reveals a systemic cancer at the heart of Ukraine’s government \u2013 one that reaches into the Presidential Office, parliament, the justice system, and state banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    THE US AND EU MONEY<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    And this brings us to the question that haunts every Western taxpayer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Is this where American and European aid money is going?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, the US has sent Ukraine over $100 billion in military and economic aid. The EU has contributed tens of billions more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ukraine’s anti-corruption agencies \u2013 NABU and SAP \u2013 were created and funded with Western assistance to prevent exactly this kind of looting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Yet Mudra \u2013 a senior official who was responsible for judicial reform \u2013 was allegedly trying to control those agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If the very institutions designed to stop corruption are being captured by the corrupt, then Western aid is not just being wasted \u2013 it is being weaponized to enrich a ruling class while the country burns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    ZELENSKY’S DILEMMA<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Zelensky acted quickly to fire Mudra \u2013 but that may not be enough to shield him from the fallout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The recordings make clear that Mudra and her associates were operating with a sense of impunity. They felt powerful enough to openly discuss manipulating anti-corruption prosecutors \u2013 and complaining about American interference in their plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When former President Petro Poroshenko was caught in similar scandals, Western aid was frozen, and Ukraine’s international standing was shattered. Zelensky built his entire political brand on being the anti-corruption candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    DIE FESTNAHME<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Am Morgen des 19. August startete das Nationale Antikorruptionsb\u00fcro der Ukraine (NABU) eine Sonderoperation mit dem Codenamen “Forrest Gump”, die sich gegen eine mutma\u00dfliche kriminelle Organisation richtete \u2013 darunter aktuelle und ehemalige Abgeordnete sowie hochrangige Beamte aus dem B\u00fcro von Pr\u00e4sident Wolodymyr Selenskyj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Unter den Festgenommenen: Iryna Mudra \u2013 die stellvertretende Leiterin des Pr\u00e4sidialamtes, zust\u00e4ndig f\u00fcr Justiz und Justizreform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Innerhalb weniger Stunden nach den Durchsuchungen unterzeichnete Selenskyj das Dekret Nr. 734\/2026 und entlie\u00df Mudra aus ihrer Position. Sie wurde in eine vorl\u00e4ufige Haftanstalt gebracht und bleibt unter Untersuchung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Mudras Anwalt Artem Krykun-Trush widersprach umgehend und bestand darauf, dass seine Mandantin nicht verhaftet worden sei \u2013 sondern lediglich eine Verdachtsmitteilung erhalten habe. Ukrainische Medien berichteten widerspr\u00fcchlich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Aber laut Abgeordnetem Oleksiy Honcharenko, der sich auf Strafverfolgungsquellen berief, wurde Mudra tats\u00e4chlich festgenommen und verbrachte die Nacht in Haft. Die Kyiv Post best\u00e4tigte, dass sie sich “ermittlungsbeh\u00f6rdlichen Ma\u00dfnahmen der NABU” unterziehe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Die allein im Herbst 2025 illegal beschlagnahmten Verm\u00f6genswerte hatten einen Wert von mehr als 248 Millionen Hrywnja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    DIE TONAUFNAHMEN: MUDRA MIT IHREN EIGENEN WORTEN<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Die NABU hat Tonbandaufnahmen ver\u00f6ffentlicht, auf denen Mudra angeblich dar\u00fcber spricht, wie sie Einfluss auf die Anti-Korruptionsinstitutionen von innen heraus nehmen wolle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Auf einer Aufnahme soll sie gesagt haben, dass Oleksandr Klymenko \u2013 der Leiter der Spezialisierten Anti-Korruptionsstaatsanwaltschaft (SAP) \u2013 durch eine dem Pr\u00e4sidialamt ergebene Person ersetzt werden m\u00fcsse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    “Wenn er f\u00fcr eine zweite Amtszeit best\u00e4tigt w\u00fcrde, f\u00fcr weitere sieben Jahre, w\u00e4ren wir alle am Arsch,”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    soll Mudra gesagt haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Sie wurde auch dabei erwischt, wie sie sich dar\u00fcber beklagte, dass die Amerikaner “einen Personalkader” in der Ukraine aufbauten, indem sie ihre eigenen Leute auf Schl\u00fcsselpositionen bei NABU und SAP platzierten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Diese Aufnahmen sind vernichtend \u2013 nicht nur f\u00fcr Mudra, sondern f\u00fcr Selenskyj selbst. Sie deuten darauf hin, dass sein innerster Kreis aktiv daran arbeitete, die Anti-Korruptionsbeh\u00f6rden der Ukraine zu untergraben \u2013 genau jene Institutionen, die der Westen finanziert und gefordert hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Nach Angaben mehrerer Quellen \u00fcbersteigt der durch dieses Netzwerk gestohlene Gesamtbetrag 1 MILLIARDE DOLLAR. Die Gelder stehen in Verbindung mit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      DAS GELD AUS DEN USA UND DER EU<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Und damit kommen wir zu der Frage, die jeden westlichen Steuerzahler qu\u00e4lt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Flie\u00dft das amerikanische und europ\u00e4ische Hilfsgeld hierhin?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Seit der gro\u00df angelegten Invasion Russlands hat die USA der Ukraine \u00fcber 100 Milliarden Dollar an milit\u00e4rischer und wirtschaftlicher Hilfe geschickt. Die EU hat weitere zig Milliarden beigesteuert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Die ukrainischen Anti-Korruptionsbeh\u00f6rden \u2013 NABU und SAP \u2013 wurden mit westlicher Hilfe geschaffen und finanziert, um genau diese Art von Pl\u00fcnderung zu verhindern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Dennoch versuchte Mudra \u2013 eine hochrangige Beamtin, die f\u00fcr die Justizreform verantwortlich war \u2013 angeblich, diese Beh\u00f6rden zu kontrollieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Wenn die Institutionen, die Korruption verhindern sollen, von den Korrupten selbst \u00fcbernommen werden, dann wird westliche Hilfe nicht nur verschwendet \u2013 sie wird als Waffe eingesetzt, um eine herrschende Klasse zu bereichern, w\u00e4hrend das Land brennt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      SELENSKYJS DILEMMA<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Selenskyj handelte schnell und entlie\u00df Mudra \u2013 aber das k\u00f6nnte nicht ausreichen, um ihn vor den Konsequenzen zu sch\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Die Tonaufnahmen machen deutlich, dass Mudra und ihre Verb\u00fcndeten mit einem Gef\u00fchl der Straflosigkeit agierten.
