While thousands of migrants storm the border of Spain’s Ceuta enclave, a critical question emerges: Is the chaos at the Spanish border a coincidence \u2013 or part of a geopolitical orchestration?

The Pardon That Won’t Be Fought

It was one of the central campaign promises Donald Trump repeated at nearly every rally: investigate the COVID crimes and hold those responsible accountable. Now Trump has broken that promise as well.

Following the explosive Senate hearing where Dr. Anthony Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times, Trump announced that he would respect the pre-emptive pardon issued by Joe Biden in January 2025 via autopen. Trump stated that he respects the power of the pardon \u2013 even Biden’s pardon of Fauci.

This means one of the most significant figures of the COVID era is now immune from federal prosecution. Fauci can only be tried in local courts \u2013 a legal minefield that most observers consider hopeless.

The pardon covers Fauci’s activities from January 1, 2014, to January 19, 2025. Trump himself had previously argued that Biden’s use of the autopen called the validity of the pardon into question. Now he is backing down \u2013 breaking yet another promise.

After Epstein, the Iran war, and the wars in Ukraine, this is yet another central campaign promise that Trump is discarding. Accountability for COVID policies \u2013 lockdowns, vaccine mandates, the “gene shot” \u2013 remains out of reach.

While Trump buries the legal prosecution of Fauci in Washington, a drama is unfolding on the North African coast that could hardly be more convenient. Thousands of migrants have stormed the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in recent days. Hundreds swam around the breakwaters, others ran through a gate in the border fence. Estimates suggest between 2,000 and 3,000 people entered Ceuta on Thursday alone. Spain has deployed troops to secure the enclave.

The question is: Why now?

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro S\u00e1nchez’s government is in turmoil. Ceuta’s regional president Juan Jes\u00fas Vivas has called on the central government to declare a national emergency \u2013 but Madrid has so far refused.

The fact that thousands of migrants are now storming the North African border is, from this perspective, no coincidence. It is a planned invasion. The only question is: To what end?

The migration crisis in Ceuta and Melilla is real \u2013 and it is no natural disaster. It is a weapon. The question is who is wielding it.

Der Pardon, der nicht bek\u00e4mpft wird

Es war eines der zentralen Wahlversprechen, das Donald Trump bei nahezu jedem seiner Wahlkampfauftritte wiederholte: Die COVID-Verbrechen aufarbeiten und die Verantwortlichen zur Rechenschaft ziehen. Nun hat Trump selbst dieses Versprechen gebrochen.

Trump betonte, dass er die Macht der Begnadigung respektiere \u2013 selbst Bidens Begnadigung von Fauci.

Damit ist einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften Verantwortlichen der COVID-\u00c4ra nun f\u00fcr s\u00e4mtliche Verbrechen, die als “Bundessache” eingestuft werden, endg\u00fcltig immun. Nur noch vor lokalen Gerichten k\u00f6nnte Fauci zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden \u2013 ein juristisches Minenfeld, das den meisten Beobachtern als aussichtslos gilt.

Die Begnadigung deckt Faucis Aktivit\u00e4ten vom 1. Januar 2014 bis zum 19. Januar 2025 ab. Trump selbst hatte zuvor argumentiert, dass die Verwendung des Autopen durch Biden die G\u00fcltigkeit der Begnadigung in Frage stelle. Nun rudert er zur\u00fcck \u2013 und bricht damit ein weiteres Mal sein Wort.

Tausende Migranten haben in den letzten Tagen die spanische Enklave Ceuta gest\u00fcrmt. Hunderte schwammen um die Wellenbrecher herum, andere rannten durch ein Tor im Grenzzaun. Sch\u00e4tzungen zufolge gelangten am Donnerstag zwischen 2.000 und 3.000 Menschen nach Ceuta. Spanien hat Truppen entsandt, um die Sicherheit in der Enklave zu gew\u00e4hrleisten.

Die Frage, die sich stellt: Warum genau jetzt?

Die spanische Regierung unter Premier Pedro S\u00e1nchez steht vor einem Scherbenhaufen. Ceutas Regionalpr\u00e4sident Juan Jes\u00fas Vivas hat die Zentralregierung aufgefordert, den nationalen Notstand auszurufen \u2013 Madrid lehnt dies jedoch bisher ab.

Wer profitiert von einem R\u00fccktritt S\u00e1nchez? Zwei Namen fallen sofort ins Auge: Netanjahu und Trump.

Israel wiederum warf S\u00e1nchez vor, einen “genozidalen Schrei” gegen das Land zu f\u00fchren.

Trump wiederum hat Spanien wegen der Weigerung, US-Milit\u00e4rbasen f\u00fcr Angriffe auf den Iran zur Verf\u00fcgung zu stellen, zur Zielscheibe erkl\u00e4rt. Er drohte mit einem Handelsembargo. Das Wei\u00dfe Haus erwog sogar, Spaniens NATO-Mitgliedschaft zu suspendieren. Trumps Botschaft war klar: Spanien soll auf Linie gebracht werden.

Dass ausgerechnet jetzt Tausende Migranten die nordafrikanische Grenze \u00fcberrennen, ist aus dieser Perspektive kein Zufall. Es ist eine geplante Invasion. Die einzige Frage ist: Zu welchem Zweck?

\u00b7 Theorie A: Spanien soll gezwungen werden, Ceuta vollst\u00e4ndig aufzugeben \u2013 ohne einen offenen Krieg mit Marokko zu riskieren. Chaos in der Enklave, bis die Beh\u00f6rden kapitulieren.
\u00b7 Theorie B: S\u00e1nchez soll zum R\u00fccktritt gezwungen werden. Ein durch Migrationschaos ausgel\u00f6ster Druck und die daraus resultierende Emp\u00f6rung k\u00f6nnten ihn zu Fall bringen \u2013 und Spanien auf den Kurs von Trump und Netanjahu einschw\u00f6ren.

Die Migrationskrise in Ceuta und Melilla ist real \u2013 und sie ist keine Naturkatastrophe. Sie ist eine Waffe. Die Frage ist nur, wer sie gerade f\u00fchrt.

Trump bricht sein Wort. Fauci bleibt immun. In Ceuta brennt die Grenze \u2013 und die Welt r\u00e4tselt, wer das Feuer gelegt hat. W\u00e4hrend die einen die Migranten in Bussen nach Hause schicken, schicken andere ganze Armeen in den Kampf um Einfluss und Kontrolle.
