A UK Senior Defense Official has stated that they strongly believe that Russia is preferring a full scale invasion of Ukraine rather than a limited offensive.
The UK Senior defense official stated “We strongly believe [Putin’s] preference is for a full invasion rather than a limited offensive. In a sense he might as well go for as much of Ukraine as he can get hold of because the penalties are just the same”.

“The full strength of RF AF (Russian Federation’s Armed Forces) land group at the Ukrainian direction — (is) over 106,000 personnel. Together with the sea and air component, the total number of personnel is over 127,000 servicemen” the report stated.
The report also stated that Russia is attempting to “trying to split and weaken the European Union and NATO” and aimed at “limiting the capabilities of the United States”.
It has also now been confirmed that Russia has 36 Iskander mobile short range ballistic missile launchers near the Ukrainian border capable of hitting targets between 310 to 430 miles away.
The document also stated that a new ‘front line’ has revealed itself along Ukraine’s northern border with Belarus.
“The territory of Belarus should be considered as a full-fledged theater of operations that Russia can use to expand aggression against Ukraine” it stated.
The U.S. State Department stated that Belarus has become an “increasingly destabilizing actor in the region”.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is working on a plan to help him survive as head of government following a probe into parties his office allegedly held in breach of Covid-19 rules, The Independent has reported.
The prime minister, who is reportedly personally involved in drawing up the plan, dubbed it “Operation Save Big Dog,” the paper reported on Friday. The scheme allegedly involves a major “root and branch” government reshuffle, which was already flagged by other British media but also includes a list of other officials that should resign over what has since become known as ‘Partygate’.
The list allegedly includes Dan Rosenfield, Johnson’s chief of staff, and Martin Reynolds, his private secretary, among others. Downing Street also supposedly believes at least one senior political appointee and a senior official will have to go for Johnson himself to stay in power, according to two Whitehall sources cited by The Independent.
Such personnel decisions would be a “bare minimum to translate contrition into action,” a former Tory cabinet minister told the paper. Letting heads roll is not the only way for Johnson to mitigate the fallout from an internal inquiry launched by senior civil servant Sue Gray in the wake of the scandal, however.
The ‘Save Big Dog’ plan would also see ministers supporting Johnson with public interviews praising his achievements and “difficult choices” made during the Covid-19 pandemic. The scheme also includes discovering how much support Johnson’s potential rivals within the Tories could command among the backbenchers.
The list of leadership rivals includes Chancellor Rishi Sunak, Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, and even former health secretary Jeremy Hunt, The Independent reports, adding, however, that Hunt is unlikely to drum up enough support to win the race.
Although the paper reported that cabinet officials referred to the scheme by its ‘Operation Save Big Dog’ code name, Downing Street did not comment on the existence of the plan. “We absolutely do not recognize this phrase,” a spokesperson told The Independent.

Official figures revealed 21 Scots babies died within 28 days of birth in September.
The rates usually vary on a monthly basis, but September saw a rate of 4.9 per 1,000 live births – levels which were last seen in the 1980s.
The shocking figure caused Scotland’s neonatal mortality rate to pass the ‘control limit’ warning threshold for the first time in four years.
The control and warning limits were put in place to alert public health teams when neonatal deaths are occurring at unprecedentedly high or low levels and if there is a reason causing them.
Concerns were voiced about the impact of the pandemic on maternity care and wellbeing, although this is the first time there has been an abnormal spike since the “pandemic” fist began.
Public Health Scotland is working alongside the Scottish Government and the Scottish National Neonatal Network and Maternity and Children Quality Improvement Collaborative to investigate the abnormal rise in newborn deaths.
The aim of the probe is to identify any factors in what caused the deaths.
Any of the findings will be incorporated into current prevention and improvement work.
A Scottish Government spokesperson said: “Every death is a tragedy, and our thoughts are with everyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one.
“In 2020, Scotland recorded its lowest number of neonatal deaths.
“As the number of infant deaths is fortunately low, monthly mortality rates tend to fluctuate.
Monthly stats on neonatal deaths are only available from July 2017.
The highest peak since then was in March 2020, which saw a rate of 3.7 per 1000 live births.
Figures from the National Records of Scotland showed newborn deaths have been on the decline for decades.
The figures plummeted from an average rate of 4.7 per 1000 live births in 1986-1990 to 2.2 per 1000 live births in 2016-2020.
The most common causes of neonatal deaths globally have been listed as suffocation, infection and prematurity.
Although other factors such as parents smoking during the preganancy or access to services such as midwives and health visits have also been identified.
There is currently no information on the causes of death involving the 21 babies who died in September.
A spokesperson for Public Health Scotland said: “The latest monthly figures published on infant deaths that happened in September 2021 show that the number of deaths occurring among babies up to 4 weeks of age exceeded the upper expected limit.
“There are a number of existing processes through which the circumstance of each death is reviewed, so that any learning can contribute to future prevention.
“As the overall number of infant deaths occurring each month is fortunately small, mortality rates can fluctuate from month to month.
“Public Health Scotland is working with the Scottish National Neonatal Network the Maternity and Children Quality Improvement Collaborative and the Scottish Government to understand any possible contributing factors to the most recent infant mortality patterns, and to incorporate findings into ongoing prevention and improvement work.”

The British government has spilled the beans about that fact that once you get double jabbed, you will never again be able to acquire full natural immunity.
In its Week 42 “COVID-19 vaccine surveillance report,” the U.K. Health Security Agency admitted on page 23 that “N antibody levels appear to be lower in people who acquire infection following two doses of vaccination.” It goes on to explain that this antibody drop is basically permanent.
What’s this mean?
We know the vaccines do not stop infection or transmission of the virus (in fact, the report shows elsewhere that vaccinated adults are now being infected at much HIGHER rates than the unvaccinated).
What the British are saying is they are now finding the vaccine interferes with your body’s innate ability after infection to produce antibodies against not just the spike protein but other pieces of the virus. Specifically, vaccinated people don’t seem to be producing antibodies to the nucleocapsid protein, the shell of the virus, which are a crucial part of the response in unvaccinated people.
In the long term, people who take the vaccine will be far more vulnerable to any mutations in the spike protein that might come along, even if they have already been infected and recovered once, or more than once.
The unvaccinated, meanwhile, will procure lasting, if not permanent, immunity to all strains of the alleged virus after being infected with it naturally even just once.

The former MI6 chief Sir Alex Younger has described the withdrawal from Afghanistan as unnecessarily self-harming and the thinking behind it “at best naïve and at worst wildly reckless”. He said he couldn’t get his head around some of the decisions. Sir Alex said that turning our back on Afghanistan will increase the threat level to the UK and that “however humiliated” we are, the UK must not make that mistake again. He also said that Afghanistan has shown the limits of nation-building.
Spiked Online Chief Political Writer Brendan O’Neill says the energy crisis is “far more serious” in the United Kingdom after they had to fire up the last two coal fired power stations because there was not enough wind power. “This really speaks to one of the biggest problems of our time which is that for some reason we’ve stopped seeing energy as something that has to be reliable and secure and provided cheaply to people who need it,” Mr O’Neill told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “And we’ve started talking about it as something that has to be sustainable, eco-friendly, lets turn to wind power and other renewables rather than nuclear, rather than coal. “This is the kind of outlook that has gripped significant sections of western Europe, including the UK, over the past few years; what we’re now seeing is that these renewables are not reliable.”

Today we look at the story of Lady Jane Grey and in particular her downfall and execution which took place inside the Tower of London. Following Edward VI’s death, he changed the succession to include Lady Jane Grey, one of his cousins. Jane was very Protestant, and was related to Henry VII so had royal blood. She was made Queen despite not really wanting to be so because of a further Protestant coup in which many members of court were vying for power and manipulating her.
She married her husband Guildford Dudley and they seemed relatively happy, however their marriage would end in both of their executions. Mary I who was a Catholic and had the most concrete claim to the throne being Henry VIII’s eldest daughter, oppposed Jane and decided to try and become Queen herself. Mary I was told by the Privy Council to support Jane, but quickly her army defeated Janes and Mary (Bloody Mary) was proclaimed Queen. Jane was then imprisoned in the Tower of London where she had been awaiting her coronation, and later her execution was ordered by Mary as rebellions gripped England. Mary regretably had Jane executed on Tower Green, with her head being taken clean off with an axe. Her Husband was also executed an hour before Jane.

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says Meghan Markle and some of her defenders in the media are a “menace to free speech”. According to Mr Bolt, last week Britain’s media watchdog Ofcom defended presenter Piers Morgan’s right to call Markle “unbelievable, untrustworthy, someone who makes stuff up” following her interview with Oprah Winfrey. “The thing is, Meghan Markle does indeed tell the most unbelievable stories about what a victim she is and how terrible the Royal Family is and woe is me,” he said.
“Even if you do believe Meghan Markle, surely a journalist, a presenter is entitled to question her claims, that’s free speech. “But the scary thing about that is not even Morgan’s bosses at ITV believe in free speech anymore, in the right to doubt Meghan Markle.” Mr Bolt said ITV’s decision to dump Morgan following thousands of complaints – including from the Duchess of Sussex herself – was a “sin against journalism, and now Britain’s media policeman Ofcom has suggested exactly that”.
Teenagers in the United Kingdom will not receive the COVID-19 vaccine despite fears the return of face-to-face learning could result in a spike in case numbers. In an assessment by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation, the nation’s immunisation authority, it was concluded the health benefits from the vaccine were only “marginally greater” than “potential known harms”.
“The margin of benefit is considered too small to support universal vaccination of healthy 12 to 15 year olds at this time,” a statement by Public Health England read. “Given the very low risk of serious COVID-19 disease in otherwise healthy 12 to 15 year olds, considerations on the potential harms and benefits of vaccination are very finely balanced and a precautionary approach was agreed.”
Dominic Raab has admitted the government thought Kabul was “unlikely” to fall to the Taliban this year, highlighting a failure of intelligence regarding the Islamist group’s takeover of Afghanistan. The foreign secretary, facing a grilling from MPs at the Foreign Affairs Committee, said he would be travelling to the Middle East region today after coming under intense scrutiny over his response to the Afghanistan crisis.
It is understood his diplomatic efforts will centre on how to get Afghans and any remaining British nationals out of the region through third countries. This indicates that talks are likely to include Pakistan. Mr Raab said the number of British nationals left in Afghanistan was down to the “low hundreds” but added that he can’t say “with precision” exactly how many are stranded in the country. Grilled on the subject in the Commons, he said: “I can’t give you a definitive answer.”

Remember, Remember, the Fifth of November. The story of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot was one of the most important events in English History, and it’s legacy today has been shown in many films. But what was the story behind the plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament, and also kill King James I? Guy Fawkes was caught on the morning of the 5th November 1605 literally sitting on over 30 barrels on gunpowder, and in his pocket were some matches. He was dressed in riding gear and was most probably preparing to light the gunpowder that day, to blow the King and Queen, Parliament and Government to bits following the State Opening of Parliament.
Following his capture, he would be interrogated heavily, and was even tortured brutally using the Rack. His torture on the Rack would lead to extreme suffering that would even be evident when he signed his confession. Most people assume Guy Fawkes was burned as the Bonfire Night celebrations in Britain show him being burned on a fire. However he was executed by being Hanged, Drawn and Quartered. However before his execution, as he led his way up to the scaffold Fawkes would have the last say.

CHINA will hold “all the cards” if the West fails to do anything about its aggression according to an expert. Tory MP and Chair of the House of Commons Defence Select Committee, Tobias Ellwood, insisted the UK, US, and European Union needed to work together to resolve its issues with China.
Ruptly is live outside the Royal Courts of Justice in London, as a preliminary hearing for the United States appeal against the denial on Julian Assange’s extradition to the US to face espionage charges is held. Assange is expected to attend the hearing in person.
A protest in his support is set to take place outside the court. Following that hearing, the High Court is expected to schedule a date to hear full appeal arguments. In July, Britain’s High Court granted the US government a permission to appeal an earlier decision by a lower court judge that Assange could not be sent to the United States to face charges due to concerns over his mental health and potential risk of suicide in the US prison system.
The Wikileaks founder faces seventeen charges under the Espionage Act, and one under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in the US. He could get a sentence of 175 years in prison, if convicted. Currently, Assange is held in near-solitary confinement in London’s HMP Belmarsh.
During the Second World War, propaganda was used by all countries involved for various different purposes. The Nazis used it to poison the minds of the population and promote their brutal and horrific policies, but propaganda came in a number of different forms. Radio broadcasts were utilised to play to the enemy also, and the Germans frequently tried to affect British morale with radio broadcasts.
One of the most famous figures of the Second World War was William Joyce, who was known to the British as Lord Haw Haw. Joyce was a traitor who defected from Britain to Nazi Germany shortly before World War Two broke out to work for Hitler’s regime. He was a leading member of the British Union of Fascists, however once he arrived in Germany he was given a job by Joseph Goebbels’ Ministry of Propaganda, and he began to broadcast his radio show Germany Calling.
This attracted millions of listeners each time it was broadcast, and the British government even encouraged the population not to listen to it. During the broadcasts Joyce would talk about the German Army’s strength and try to demoralise the British and the US, however he became known as Lord Haw Haw for his upper class accent. His final radio broadcast came as Berlin fell into the Soviet hands in April 1945, however the hunt was on by the British to capture Lord Haw Haw.
He was eventually found near to Denmark with his wife and was wounded by a British soldier and then was transferred for his trial. At trial he was sentenced to death for treason, and his death sentence is rather controversial as it was argued he could not be condemned as he had obtained a British passport under false pretences. However this sentence was carried out, and Lord Haw Haw was executed.

CHINESE nuclear attack submarines have attempted to secretly shadow the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth as it sailed into the Pacific, it emerged today. But they were detected by anti-submarine sonar operators aboard the frigates protecting the Carrier Strike Group.
Sky News Washington correspondent Annelise Nielsen says there’s going to be some “political pressure” in the lawsuit between Australian resident Virginia Giuffre and Prince Andrew, who’s close to the royal family.
The lawsuit will be held under the Child Victims Act and will commence at the Manhattan federal court. “How do you enforce this internationally, there’s going to be some political pressure enacted as you can imagine given that this is so close to the royal family and that is going to be a key issue,” “But it’s likely they will be able to force at least some kind of response out of Prince Andrew, they’ll be a summons and that’s going to be the critical issue here.
“And likely there’s going to be some kind of push for a reciprocation as well between the two countries because they are allies, they do have a number of different pieces of legislation that require them to share this information on critical issues.”
Anti-vaccine protesters attempted to storm a former BBC studio in London, on Monday, resulting in scuffles with police officers. Protesters could be seen rushing up to the studios, that are now used to make daytime TV and host apartments, before police formed a line to prevent them from entering. The west London studios were the iconic heart of the BBC prior to relocation between 2012 and 2013 to plug a shortfall in funding.
People in Wales are enjoying their first day of freedom from lockdown restrictions as the country moves to COVID alert level zero. Legal limits on the number of people who can meet have been lifted.
